Abstract

This article describes the long history of relations between Afghanistan and Iran. It analyzes the historical stages of development of political, economic, and geopolitical relations between the two countries and highlights how cultural affinity, religious factors, water resources, and security issues have influenced the formation of relations. In addition, problematic situations that have arisen between the two countries and how they have been resolved are also mentioned.
