DYNAMICS OF THE EVOLUTION OF MAQAM ART IN THE XX–XXI CENTURIES: FACTORS OF PERFORMANCE, COMPOSITION AND SYSTEMS OF MUSIC EDUCATION

Abstract

This article examines the process of historical formation and modern development of the Uzbek maqam art as a unique phenomenon of oriental musical culture. The author analyzes the main stages of the formation of the maqam tradition, its evolution from oral transmission and classical forms to modern interpretations and academic performance. trends manifested in the modern musical practice of Uzbekistan. The work also reveals the socio-cultural and artistic factors that contribute to the preservation of macama heritage in the context of globalization and digitalization of the music sphere. The author examines the role of modern performers, teachers and researchers in ensuring the continuity of traditions, and also analyzes the impact of modern technologies and academic education on the development of macam performance. As a result of the analysis, the mechanisms of adaptation of the maqam system to the requirements of the time, the ways of its integration into the modern musical space and the preservation of spiritual and aesthetic values underlying the Uzbek national identity are revealed.
