Abstract

This study examines methodological mechanisms for enhancing the effectiveness of English language teaching through the systematic integration of digital education technologies in pedagogical universities. The rapid digital transformation of higher education has significantly reshaped language teaching practices, requiring new methodological solutions that align pedagogical objectives with technological opportunities. The research focuses on how digital tools and platforms can be pedagogically justified and methodologically structured to improve learners’ communicative competence, language skills development, and learning autonomy. The study analyzes the theoretical foundations of digital language pedagogy, emphasizing learner-centeredness, interactivity, adaptability, and feedback-oriented instruction as key methodological principles. Particular attention is given to the role of digital learning environments in supporting individualized learning trajectories, multimodal input, and authentic language exposure. The research highlights the importance of integrating learning management systems, online communication tools, digital assessment instruments, and interactive resources into a coherent methodological framework rather than using them in a fragmented or purely technical manner. Based on analytical and empirical considerations, the study identifies core methodological mechanisms that enhance instructional effectiveness, including blended learning models, task-based digital activities, formative digital assessment, and reflective learning practices. The findings suggest that the effectiveness of English language teaching in digital contexts depends not only on the availability of technologies but primarily on teachers’ methodological competence in designing, implementing, and evaluating digitally mediated instruction. The study contributes to the development of a pedagogically grounded model for digital English language teaching and provides practical implications for teacher education and professional development in pedagogical universities.
